Data Loss

Data can be lost due to a number of circumstances. The largest contributing factors to data loss are hardware or system malfunctions and human error in total accounting for almost 75% of all incidents. Software corruption, computer viruses and natural disasters such as fire and water damage complete the list.

Whether your data loss is the result of mechanical or electrical failure, virus activity, system malfunctions, accidental erasure or re-format, water, fire or smoke damage, or file corruption, we have the resources to solve your problem.

The Data Recovery Process

Data recovery is a system of processes used to recover lost data from a variety of media sources including hard disk drives, floppy diskettes or tape backups.

Data Recovery

When you send your media in for data recovery, our engineers perform a comprehensive diagnostic to determine exactly what has gone wrong. Depending on the problem we can either restore the data in-house or if required we can send it down to our Lab partners in Brisbane who have a full clean room restore environment. (Freight charges apply) We then devise the most cost-effective and timely procedures to get the data back working for you again. We report to you the recovery required and include a quotation for the complete recovery service.

Can all data be retrieved?

There are occasions when damage to the data is permanent. However, it is a rare case when absolutely no data is retrievable. In almost all situations we can recover most of the data even under extreme conditions.

Prevention is Better than Cure

When your data has been restored Future Computers can discuss backup solutions that are cost effective and suit almost any environment.

Current solutions include file level backups or even a complete image of your system.

In the event of a disaster you can be up and running in a matter of hours, not weeks or months depending on the size of your site.

If properly protected this should never happen again.
